Business and partnerships


  Partnerships have been built showing European society's ability to develop solidarity
with the destitutes; they offer financial support, donations of food and equipment,
provision of staff or expertise.


The beneficiaries of food aid have the same needs and tastes as other consumers.


Voluntary associations working for people in need are aware of their state of malnutrition,
a health problem which can be solved by providing them with fresh food products.


Farmers coping with production and market fluctuations can help the destitute
by donating their surpluses of milk, fruit and vegetables, wheat…


To expand their solidarity activities the Food Banks in Europe need logistics and
equipment support, especially with respect to refrigeration.




Citizen donors


  By providing support as private individuals, the citizens of Europe make it possible
for the European Federation of Food Banks to cover part of its operating costs and
thus give it greater autonomy.
