FEBA Joined The EU FLW Platform Food Donation Sub-Group

On 5 June 2025, our Head of Network Development and Policy was honoured to serve as one of four rapporteurs during the meeting of the EU Platform on Food Losses and Food Waste – Food Donation Sub-Group, hosted by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE).

Alongside representatives from the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, EuroCommerce, and FoodCloud, FEBA helped facilitate discussions on two specific key topics: date marking and labelling. These exchanges will contribute to a set of recommendations to be published in early 2026, with the aim of revising and strengthening the EU Food Donation Guidelines.

FEBA remains committed to playing an active role in building a more enabling policy environment for food donation across Europe.
