Federația Băncilor pentru Alimente din România had recently successful donation campaign, collecting and distributing more than 1,900,000 meals to 173,000 vulnerable people. Essential non-perishable products were donated directly by customers in 1,154 participating stores nationwide.
The success is thanks to the incredible involvement of 14,700 volunteers: students, young people, retirees, company employees, and many other generous individuals who dedicated their time, energy, and kindness to this campaign. At the same time, 575 partner NGOs helped ensure that all donated food reached those most in need quickly and responsibly.
This wave of solidarity was felt in communities all across the country.
