At the OECD Food Chain Analysis Network (FCAN) meeting on 13-14 November 2025, our Research Officer Luisa Fadel contributed to a panel on developing evaluation frameworks for national food loss and waste (FLW) strategies. The event, “The Challenge of Evaluating Food Loss and Waste Reduction Strategies,” brought together global experts to tackle the critical challenge of measuring the impact of FLW policies through improved data quality and international comparability.

Discussions highlighted the need for improving evaluation frameworks for FLW reduction strategies, including methodologies to assess outcomes and enhance collaboration between businesses and governments in tracking progress across the food supply chain.

In a joint presentation with the Harvard Law School Food Law and Policy Clinic, FEBA showcased its significant contribution at the European level through the European Food Donation Policy Atlas and FEBA Annual Data Collection initiatives.

We extend our special thanks to the organizers, Céline Giner, Eszter Palotai, Juan David Sáenz Henao, and Andrea Marangio, for organising this valuable platform for knowledge exchange.
