A History of Solidarity
Geopost has emerged as a committed donor for FEBA. This collaboration builds on years of local initiatives by Geopost subsidiaries, which have supported national food banks across Europe through financial aid, logistics, and employee volunteering support. Over the XXX past years, this collaboration has evolved through targeted annual support for impactful and timely initiatives benefiting FEBA members.
In March 2022, FEBA and Geopost formalized their cooperation by signing an official agreement, grounded in a shared understanding of the importance of strengthening and developing food banks, supporting local communities. Just a few months after, recognising the urgency of the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, Geopost supported FEBA members in Ukraine, Moldova, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia with a donation. The grant covered operational costs reinforcing logistics and operational capacity. Additionally, Geopost secured a generous donation to FEBA’s #Together4Ukraine initiative, and launched a dedicated fundraising page.
In 2023, Geopost’s support proved crucial for three FEBA members in Belgium, Denmark, and Hungary, covering operational costs and launching new initiatives. Similarly, in 2024, the majority of Geopost’s grant was dedicated to FEBA members in Greece, Slovakia, and Slovenia.
From urgent crisis response to targeted investments in operational growth, Geopost’s partnership with FEBA reflects a deep commitment to tackling food insecurity and waste across Europe. Each year, this collaboration strengthens, bringing lasting benefits to food banks and the communities they serve.
Nature of the Partnership
FEBA members redistribute surplus food that would otherwise go to waste. By working with food producers, retailers, and manufacturers, FEBA and its network of food banks ensure that edible food reaches communities facing food insecurity via effective food delivery logistics practices. Geopost brings its delivery and logistics expertise directly to the fight against food insecurity, providing parcel deliveries of food and essentials between food banks and charities. Through in-kind support, financial contributions, and employee engagement, the company helps food banks operate more efficiently and respond quickly to community needs all around Europe.
Impact and Transparency
The flexibility of the Geopost–FEBA partnership ensures that support reaches where it is needed most. In recent years, donations have funded warehouse repairs in Greece, the hiring of Fundraising Managers in Slovenia and Slovakia, operational costs in Belgium and in Denmark, and new food rescue activities in Hungary.
Employee-led initiatives such as the Step Up for Food Banks Challenge – which in 2025 saw staff walk nearly four million steps in one week – combine engagement with tangible contributions, generating additional donations for national food banks.
Geopost and FEBA are building a stronger, more connected network of food banks, which leverages corporate logistics expertise and local community action to make a measurable difference in the fight against food waste and hunger.
