In April, FEBA CEO Esteban Arriaga visited FareShare and The Felix Project in London to explore new ways of collaboration and share best practices in food aid.
At FareShare, FEBA CEO learned about their successful employability programmes, training 1,500 people annually through warehouse job schemes, helping individuals gain employment while building long-term relationships with donors. Esteban also discussed FareShare’s innovative ESG Dashboard, which tracks and demonstrates the organisation’s social impact, and emphasised its potential for broader use across FEBA’s network.
While visiting The Felix Project, London’s largest surplus food distributor, FEBA CEO saw the vital role of volunteers in distributing up to 6,588 meals a day. The project’s work, which also includes frozen meals, relies heavily on volunteers and plays a key part in addressing food insecurity in the city.
Esteban’s visit to both organisations underscored the importance of collaboration, volunteer engagement, and innovative solutions in tackling food poverty, with valuable insights to be shared across FEBA’s wider network.
