National Food Collection Campaigns: Honouring the Generosity of The Food Banks Network around Europe

As food banks around Europe complete their year-end national food collections, FEBA is pleased to showcase the collective spirit and generosity that define our members.

As food banks around Europe complete their year-end national food collections, FEBA is pleased to showcase the collective spirit and generosity that define our members. From the #LoDamosTodo campaign in Spain to the record-breaking 8,300 tons gathered in Italy, the power of our collective action is undeniable. In Hungary, an incredible 307 kg of food was donated every single minute, while the Czech Republic saw a 15% increase in generosity, totalling 719 tons of essential goods. In Bulgaria, in just two days, customers donated thousands of kilograms of rice, beans, lentils, pasta, oil and other durable products, which, according to forecast data, sum up to 16,240 kilograms of food. France and Portugal mobilised thousands of volunteers, creating a real social network that turned supermarket aisles into hubs of hope and dignity.

These results are more than just statistics; they represent millions of meals and a lifeline for the most vulnerable during the cold winter months. This cooperation between donors, companies, media, and volunteers proves that when we act as one, we can effectively help the fight against food waste and insecurity. This wave of engagement and generosity serves as a profound inspiration, reinforcing our strength and unity across borders.
