The FEBA Data & ESG Summit 2025 in Bucharest, Romania, took place from the 10 to 12 of September, and has been praised as a significant success. The event drew an engaged and diverse audience, with participants from 21 different countries gathering to tackle the complexities and opportunities in data collection and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy.
A highlight of this year’s event was its commitment to active engagement. FEBA designed the Summit to be highly interactive, featuring dynamic working-group activities and real-time surveys. Attendees particularly valued the opportunity to exchange ideas and share experiences with peers from other countries, turning the Summit into a genuinely collaborative and enriching experience.
The program was praised for being well-balanced, offering FEBA Members in-depth discussions and valuable updates on data collection methodologies. Participants gained clear insights into the practices and aspirations of different countries, particularly through the highly appreciated group work sessions. Adding valuable external expertise to the discussions was a special online presentation delivered by Amanda Thomas from Anthesis.
FEBA is incorporating the given feedback and recommendations on the organizational experience to further improve the impact for next year’s event. For instance, it’s a genuine regret that some of our members couldn’t join us due to travel document constraints. Even though part of our network wasnt able to be with us in person, their input and collaboration are still incredibly valuable to us. We want to ensure that all members’ voices are heard as we move forward.
The insights and connections forged at the 2025 Summit will undoubtedly drive collective efforts to enhance social and environmental impact across Europe. Most importantly, the strong participation and overwhelmingly positive feedback confirm the critical importance of data and ESG strategy to the FEBA network.
