FEBA’s Fundraising Forum on April 23 gathered our members once again to discuss efficient fundraising methods and lessons learned from their experiences. FEBA’s Head of Fundraising & Partnership shared perspectives on philanthropy, foundations, and grants. A guest speaker, Declan Flynn (FoodCloud, Ireland), gave fascinating insights into FoodCloud’s structure and approach to fundraising, and their inspiring ambition to deliver 1 Billion Meals for those in need by 2030. Our Fundraising & Grants Officer provided information and best practices on donor reporting.
Key Takeaways from the Forum:
Building a successful fundraising strategy begins long before you draft a list of prospective foundations; it starts with the power of human connection. Networking and fostering strong personal relationships often make the difference between a rejected proposal and a secured grant. This relational approach is bolstered by a deep understanding of donor expectations, which significantly improves operational efficiency. By knowing exactly what donors value in their reports, FEBA can streamline the processes and save valuable time. To support this effort, FEBA is actively developing a Fundraising Toolkit, a shared resource designed specifically to meet the unique needs of our network and amplify our collective impact.
We at FEBA warmly thank all the participants for their engagement, especially our speaker Declan Flynn from FoodCloud!
