FEBA’s Fundraising Forum on April 23 gathered our members once again to discuss efficient fundraising methods and lessons learned from their experiences.
Camilla Fitzgerald (FEBA) was sharing perspectives on philanthropy, foundations, and grants. A guest speaker, Declan Flynn (FoodCloud, Ireland) gave fascinating insights into FoodCloud’s structure and approach to fundraising, and their inspiring ambition to deliver 1 Billion Meals for those in need by 2030. Elliot Mckenzie (FEBA) provided information and best practices on donor reporting.
Key Takeaways from the Forum:
Connections are the Key to Fruitful Fundraising
Before building out a list of prospective foundations, it’s good to take time to network with people. Strong connections make the difference!
Understanding Donors Improves Efficiency
Knowing what donors expect in their reports and understanding what is helpful to include in reports submitted to FEBA on behalf of donors makes our work more efficient.
Developing Shared Tools for Better Impact
FEBA is currently developing a Fundraising Toolkit, which is meant to be a resource for our network and its needs.
We at FEBA warmly thank all the participants for their engagement, especially our speaker Declan Flynn from FoodCloud!
