New Global Food Donation Policy Atlas reports on Poland & Ireland

Impact

FEBA, The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN), and the Harvard Law School Food Law and Policy Clinic (FLPC) have released two new country reports under the Global Food Donation Policy Atlas, focusing on Ireland and Poland. These are the first EU countries featured in the Atlas and mark a significant step toward strengthening food donation frameworks across Europe.

The reports offer a deep dive into the national laws and policies that shape food donation and food waste reduction efforts in each country. They also provide practical, country-specific policy recommendations aimed at expanding food recovery and improving food security—an urgent need as millions of people across the EU continue to face food poverty.
