Together Towards Wasteless Europe: Developing Mechanisms to Reduce Food Loss and Waste

The FEBA Data Team participated in the final event of the WASTELESS project in Brussels.

Impact

FEBA Data Team members Luisa Fadel and Daniela Varga participated in the final event of the WASTELESS project, held on 23 April 2026 in Brussels. The event brought together a wide range of stakeholders, including representatives from the European Commission (DG SANTE), researchers, and food system actors, providing a valuable chance to reflect on the progress of the project and share insights on reducing food loss and waste across Europe.

The discussions and workshops explored data monitoring and waste measurement tools, innovative strategies to reduce food waste, and the collaborative approaches among the stakeholders.

What is the WASTELESS project about?

WASTELESS is a two-year Horizon Europe project focused on the development of innovative tools and methods for reducing, measuring, and monitoring food loss and waste. The project includes events and workshops for knowledge sharing, case studies, and recommendations for the stakeholders to improve their data-driven solutions.

FEBA sincerely thanks the organisers for such a relevant and timely discussion and for including our perspective in this important exchange on tackling food loss and waste.
