This issue features articles on a variety of subjects, ranging from the Spanish presidency of the Council to a study published by the Commission on the access to essential services in the EU for people at risk of poverty and social exclusion. In addition to that it looks at the proposal of the EESC for a ‘European Food Policy Council‘ and at the report published by the International Food Waste Coalition. At the national level, this report focuses on the ‘pact against food waste’ that was concluded in Germany. The highlights from the international sphere in this edition include the launch of the SOFI Report and the UN Food Systems Summit+2 that took place in Rome, Italy this year.
