FLEX, or Food Life Extension Programme, is FareShare’s award-winning initiative that turns surplus food into long-lasting, nutritious food products that feed people across the country.
This month, FLEX Programme has been shortlisted in the New Sustainable Product category at the Sustainable Food Awards.
The product that has been nominated is a Pork and Mashed Potato tin. This meal is made with surplus potato fries and pieces of pork patties.
Whether you are a canning company, process frozen food, supply packaging or are a food manufacturer who can produce other long-life meals FareShare wants to hear from you.
