The unique partnership between FoodCloud, Cork on a Fork Fest and the Irish Rail transformed a train journey into a one-of-a-kind afternoon tea. The entire menu was crafted from surplus food, turning ingredients that would have otherwise gone to waste into a delicious and creative feast. As guests enjoyed their meal, they learned how these efforts contribute to a more sustainable food system.
Moreover, this event brought the Irish member one step closer to their goal of redistributing 1 billion meals by 2030. FoodCloud thanks all the partners that made this initiative possible but doesn’t forget to state that these projects require food, volunteers, and funding.
