FEBA Morning Insights on the Social Return on Investments

On 22 March 2024 FEBA held its first session of a new knowledge-sharing webinar series: FEBA Morning Insights (MOIN). On the agenda of MOIN’s March edition was a deep-dive presentation from Fédération Belge des Banques Alimentaires / Belgische Federatie van Voedselbanken, Etienne Rubens together with Alexia Sabbe from the Vives University of Applied Science on their Social Return on Investment (SROI) calculation project. Over 50 representatives from Food Banks located all over Europe tuned in to learn about the quantification of social/societal impact and three pivotal questions – Why? How? What?

The experts elaborated on the methods and tools used to calculate the Belgian Federation’s SROI and explained how it can help organisations forecast, plan, and evaluate their activities.

After all questions from the participants were answered, FEBA wrapped up the session by highlighting the added value of social impact calculation whose tangible results can help Food Banks to communicate the relevance of their activities.

Thank you to our speakers for the very interesting presentation and to all the participants who joined us this morning!
