FOODRUS Final Event

On 13 March 2024 FEBA participated in the final event of the FOODRUS Horizon 2020 Project. FOODRUS was a 3.5-year project coordinated by the University of Deusto, with the objective to limit food losses and waste and to promote resource efficiency across all stages of the agri-food value chain. The project tested 23 circular solutions analyzing agri-food value chains in three pilots’ regions:

  • A cross-regional Spanish pilot focused on vegetables and prepared salads chain;
  • A Danish pilot concentrated on meat and fish chain;
  • and a Slovak pilot analyzing the bread chain.

During the event, the outcomes of these pilots were presented and discussed. As part of the Advisory Board of FOODRUS, FEBA was happy to observe and contribute to this project in the past years.
