The urgent need for holistic transformation of global food systems: FEBA at The Future of Food Summit

FEBA’s Head of Strategic Partnerships and Fundraising, Suzanne Zudiker, attended The Future of Food Summit, May 13-14, in Amsterdam, where discussions emphasised the urgent need for holistic transformation of global food systems, focusing on regenerative agriculture, equitable climate finance, and innovative technologies to enhance sustainability and resilience. Key discussions highlighted the importance of integrating smallholder farmers, leveraging AI for improved efficiency, and fostering cross-sector collaboration to address food security and environmental challenges.

While the event focused on sustainability more than food donations, the event highlighted the need for collaboration among stakeholders—governments, businesses, and non-profits—to develop comprehensive strategies that reduce food waste. Sharing best practices and resources was identified as key to success.
