Grupo Gallo donates a whole day’s production to face the shortage of products in Food Banks in Spain

  • The Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL), due to the impossibility of developing new face-to-face collections, calls for donations to make possible to secure the reserves of its 54 centres in the coming months
  • The 150 tons of product will supply the 7,216 NGOs with which the Food Banks federated in FESBAL work, and which allow food to reach the 1.1 million beneficiaries who depend on the Food Banks supply.

The Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL), which coordinates the network of the 54 food distribution centers in the country, appeals to society and companies in order to promote donations that allow them to face the shortage that is beginning to provoke the increase in demand caused by the Covid-19 crisis.

In response to this emergency, Pastas Gallo will make the donation generated by the one-day production of all its plants, in Córdoba and Barcelona. There will be 150 tons of Gallo products that will be delivered to Food Banks throughout the country in order to cover the needs throughout the territory. The first donation has already been materialized at the headquarters of the Alcalá Food Bank, in Madrid, with the arrival of the first truck loaded with dry pasta, flours, breadcrumbs, sauces and pre-cooked dishes.
