Recovery from coronavirus: success story from the Belgian Food Banks

We have all been affected in one way or another by the coronavirus pandemic. People and organizations across Europe are trying to overcome the crisis and the EU is doing all it can to assist them.

The €750 billion recovery package, NextGenerationEU, will help European citizens, Member States and partner countries emerge from the crisis stronger and more resilient for a greener, more sustainable and more digital future.

The European Commission released a set of success stories in order to shine a light on people and organizations working hard to weather the storm and give back to their communities. The activity handled by the Belgian Federation of Food Banks during the crisis is one these success stories. With a little help from the EU, the Belgian Food Banks supply charities helping people in need, so that everyone has access to food at this difficult time. Read the success story here.
