Federación Española de Bancos de Alimentos elects a new President

On May 22, the General Assembly of the Spanish Federation of Food Banks (FESBAL) and the Executive Committee elected its new president: Mr. Pedro Miguel Llorca Llinares, who is currently President of the Las Palmas Food Bank.

He began his career as a volunteer at that Bank in 2012 and has been a member of the Executive Committee since October 2015, assuming the vice-presidency since 2018. He is a Technical Architect with extensive experience in the construction sector, and has been a member of the College’s Governing Board of the official Association of Surveyors and Technical Architects of Las Palmas. He has played a fundamental role and has been key in promoting collaboration with the Food Banks associated with FESBAL.

Mr. Llorca addressed all the attendees to thank them for their support, hoping not to disappoint, remembering not to lose the main objective, which is the most disadvantaged. He is happy and flattered to be working hand in hand with partner Food Banks.

In addition to the new appointment as President of Mr. Llorca, the Assembly elected two new members of the Executive Committee, Mrs. Josefa Cañadas Valverde, Vice President of the Food Bank of Asturias and Mr. SantiagoMiralles Sorolla, President of the Castellón Food Bank. Likewise, Mr. Llorca appointed as vice president of FESBAL Mr. José Ignacio Alfaro Ximénez, current President of the Food Bank of Zaragoza.
