Tafel Deutschland votes to instate youth advisor to board of directors

On June 4th 2021, Tafel Germany held its biennial general meeting. Due to the pandemic, only about 40 people were able to attend in person in Berlin while representatives of over 400 German Food Banks joined digitally to discuss current and future challenges.

Tafel Goettingen, which has a particularly active youth group, proposed to instate a youth advisor to Tafel Germany’s board of directors. The representatives voted to accept the proposal. The youth advisor will have to be no older than 35 years of age when elected. He or she will advocate for young volunteers’ interests and ideas to strengthen young people’s position within the Tafel movement.
